Striding Neferefre Statuette

Striding statue of Neferefre.

80 cm in height, this is the largest statue of Neferefre, found at his funerary temple. Made of basalt, it represents the king, striding forward. He wears the White Crown, symbol of Upper Egypt, while in his right hand, he holds a mace.

It was found during the excavations at Neferefre’s Mortuary Temple at Abusir and is now part of the collection of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
